The GeoEdmonton 2018 conference organizing committee invites members of the Canadian and international geotechnical and hydrogeological communities to contribute papers for presentation at the conference. Of particular interest are submissions highlighting recent research developments and advancements in their respective fields of practice, as well as case histories dealing with the challenges of geotechnical or hydrogeological problems.
Authors are invited to submit abstracts of a maximum of 300 words by January 15, 2018 through the Online Submission page of the conference website. Abstracts can be written in English or French.
The abstracts should generally align with the following topics, but sessions may be added for groups of abstracts which share a common theme not listed below:
Geotechnical Themes
Hydrogeological Themes
Invitations for the submission of full papers will be sent by February 9, 2018 to authors whose abstracts are accepted by the conference’s Technical Subcommittee. Authors of accepted abstracts must submit their full papers by April 30, 2018, along with at least one conference registration – papers will be reviewed for clarity and technical merit. Reviewer comments will be provided by May 31, 2018, with revised papers being due June 22, 2018.
Final decisions regarding the technical merit, relevance, and assigned session topic for accepted papers are the responsibility of the Technical Subcommittee. Questions regarding sessions, topics and the technical program should be directed to the Technical Subcommittee:
